Maritime Practice
In the maritime area, we are actively involved in all aspects of building, buying, selling and financing (including leasing) ships, related equipment (such as containers and chassis), and drilling rigs.
For many years we have represented the transporter in one of the pioneer and largest LNG projects in the world.
We often act as special counsel on admiralty and maritime matters for other law firms in both very major and routine matters and have a special expertise in the multi-national aspects of the shipping business including matters arising under Panamanian, Liberian and Marshall Islands law.
Our practice in the maritime field is primarily transactional or relates to enforcement matters, such as ship foreclosure. We do not seek personal injury or cargo damage litigation matters which are often a substantial element of the maritime practice elsewhere.
